Following the success of one brick-heavy franchise, Warner Bros. is moving to another. A Minecraft movie is in the works after rights were secured by the studio.

Deadline reports that Warner Bros. has acquired the film rights to the Minecraft franchise from the game’s developer, Mojang AB. Interestingly, the film is being billed as a live action project. The Minecraft video game has built its brand around the 8-bit design.
The Lego Movie producers Roy Lee and Dan Lin are back to produce this project for WB.

A division within Google, called the “Quantum A.I. Lab” has decided to delve into the Minecraft world by producing a mod. ‘So what’ you may say. Well, this isn’t any old mod, this mod brings quantum physics to Minecraft. If you thought Minecraft physics were already difficult to figure out, then watch out for this mod! The A.I. Team has rolled out a mod called qCraft in hopes of teaching the younger generation about quantum physics. The mod adds a ton of new blocks that exhibit quantum properties when interacted with. I think this is a great way to learn a little more about physics, while also having a blast in the great game of Minecraft. Keep in mind that this is not a perfect simulation of the real world, but it is a heck of a lot better than having to burry yourself in a boring old textbook to have fun at the quantum level. You can get this mod with the major mod packs, like Tekkit, FTB and more!

Head over to their website: www.qCraft.org to learn more!

Check out their video here: qCraft: Quantum Physics Meets Minecraft

Also, I am not dead, but have just been extremely busy with school work. Work comes first, than blogging (although I wish it was switched). :)

This sounds kinda cool!

I forgot how fun it is to explore.

Our Spawn is a multicolored glass dome and beyond it post apocalyptic city one that players (when whitelisted by Kev the Great and Powerful) can fix up and rebuild.

Also that squirrel looks like trouble.

  • -suggested retail price for each new LEGO Minecraft set is $34.99.

I love it but it’s WAY too much money for LEGOS (they cost MORE THAN THE GAME) and if it comes from J!NX and they are on my s**t list.

I know not many people know of me or my art (mostly cause I’m a jack of all arts, master of none,) BUT I am pretty good at Gallifreyan and Origami and Paper Children~

SO

I’m thinking that these’ll be the prices for things (which, of course, are flexible, just shoot me an ask/submit~):

  • Origami Cranes (recycled paper) — $1 plus shipping
  • Origami Cranes (special request) — $1 plus materials used and shipping
  • Origami, Other (specify paper in request) — varied, contact me with the request for price negotiations and more info

  • Paper Child (B&W)(scan to be printed at your leisure) — $3
  • Paper Child (B&W)(original copy mailed to you) — $4 plus shipping
  • Paper Child (Colour)(scan to be printed at your leisure) — $5
  • Paper Child (Colour)(original copy mailed to you) — $6 plus shipping

  • Gallifreyan (fuck this there are too many options) — varied, contact me with the request for price negotiations

Ok, so you might be wondering why I added a dollar for sending you the originals when it comes to paper children. See, the thing is, if I keep the originals they will most likely be added to the collection of things I will be selling copies of at conventions. Enough people have shown interest in my having an artist’s table of custom Gallifreyan writing and Paper Children that I’ve decided that I’m going to do just that. If I send you the original, I can’t make copies to cut out and sell there, where it could make me anything from a big, fat $0 to maybe, if I’m lucky $10. So a one dollar extra fee isn’t bad, right?

One last thing: As much as I would love to, I can’t do homestuck because there’s restrictions on that and I don’t think I am anywhere near talented enough to request permission from the creator. I hope you understand.

Now lots of pictures and thingies:

(if you request sonnet 18, you’re getting a print of this… At least, if I can find somewhere to scan the blasted thing. It took months to get right and it’s huge. :p
please be lenient about time if you request it. Or ask for something simpler, like one or two circle-words in length.)

(literal translations of names only work within the parameters of the gallifreyan I use, so if your name has the word ‘god’ in it, it’ll be hard, if not impossible, to translate.)

aaand you’re just gonna have to trust that after over 11 years of doing origami, several years of teaching and doing demos, and making over 1,000 cranes to send to soldiers, my origami figures — especially my cranes — are pretty awesome. z

I also write, so maybe ask about that.

Am now actively saving for a decent headset mic cause I want to be able to sing for my friends (I’ve been told that’s like $20 but need to research it more >.>)

Help?

The headset I have was pricey (even on sale) but the speakers are great and the mic is amazing (according to those who have to listen to me)

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826106474

Like I said…kiiiinda pricey and I got them for $180 during some random sale.

Ouch :/

See the link I was given I can’t find, but one of the others I saved was http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=headset+mic&prmd=ivns&cid=678455383636969306&sa=X&ei=xL7oUaaoKNHJ4APojoDwBA&ved=0CFQQ8wIwAQ

Is that ok?

Sad face the link doesn’t work :(

KRPG 2 is coming and lots of changes are going to take place when we make the official switch. A whole new world map called the Mortal Realms and a whole new (very hard) Warlands map. The class system is going to change from MCMMO to Heroes, and Factions has had some tweaks made to make gameplay better.

We are so excited to release. We have put months of time into this and it is so close to ready we can taste it. We build a whole new spawn city with a new castle. The under-city of the castle is awesome (if I do say so myself…since I build about 90% of it). The thieves guild is my fave, personally. Maybe I should be the King/Queen of Thieves! HA

Warlands is an all new, and more dangerous map!

I am so exited, I really hope everyone likes it!

cant you just turn the camera around or put a blanket over it.

still a mic though
and theres the chance that it might say something like “error kinect camera cannot function when obscured”

Videogame consoles are not supposed to spy on you.
Videogame consoles are not supposed to potentially rat you out to the government.
Videogame consoles are not supposed to arbitrarily decide who sees what’s on the screen and what’s not.
I have never told anyone not to buy a videogame console, but in this case, knowing what I know about the Xbox One, I am seriously imploring people not to buy this machine. The console will not be consumer-friendly, and between the above and an always-on internet connection, how do you know your hobby isn’t siphoning personal information to…well, who knows who?
Suffice it to say, the Xbox 360 will be my last Microsoft console. I don’t care how many more Halo games get churned out.

Adding this here from my videogame blog because it’s too important, and the potential for Microsoft to spy on us, then report findings to the government if asked…yeah, no.
Spread the word!

If you haven’t read George Orwell’s “1984”, do so.
